Mark your calendars for the first annual Race to Zero family 5 k event to support Prevent Child Abuse of St. Joseph County on Sunday, September 26, 2010.
Competitive grants from the 2010 Roofsit fundraiser will be awarded to nonprofit child abuse prevention programs within the U93 listening area. Representatives from U93 (Artistic Media), Martin's Super Markets, Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County and Crowe Horwath will evaluate the proposals and award funding.
Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County is an affiliate of Family & Children's Center. The Report to the Community for 2009 contains stories of change and transformation that our clients went through.
Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County
Established in 1993, Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County (PCASJC) has provided countless presentations and other educational programs to the community and has worked with groups, agencies and governmental bodies to further the cause of child abuse prevention.
Over the years, PCASJC has provided funding for primary child abuse prevention programs to community organizations and has conducted its own public awareness media campaigns.
In 2009, PCASJC joined the family of affiliates at

Family & Children’s Center is dedicated to strengthening the emotional and behavioral health of the communities it serves, with special emphasis on the needs of children and families. Each of the Family & Children’s Center affiliates has its own specific mission and serves our community in different ways according to its resources and expertise. All share one common goal: Leading the way to better lives.
