The mission of Prevent Child Abuse of St. Joseph County is to prevent child abuse from occurring.
Who We Are
PCASJC is a volunteer board of community professionals. We are business women and men, social service workers, community at large volunteers, educators, foster parents and parents. In partnership with local leaders and businesses, we unite to demonstrate how our community treasures children.
Established in 1993, Prevent Child Abuse of St. Joseph County as a Charter member of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana:
-
Conducts its own public awareness and media campaigns;
-
Provides countless presentations and other educational programs in schools and the community; and
-
Works with other groups, agencies, and governmental bodies to further the cause of child abuse prevention.
With shifts in child abuse prevention at the national level, PCASJC has moved away from an emphasis on the negative effects of child abuse to a focus on creating safe, healthy, and nurturing environments for all children.
Our Philosophy
We believe that all children deserve a safe and happy childhood.
