Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, and is committed to making our community a better and safer place for children.
With help from an entirely volunteer Board, PCASJC works to:
• Increase awareness of the problem and inform communities about solutions.
• Serve as a valuable resource for families, individuals and organizations.
• Advocate for expanded and improved programs and policies to prevent child abuse.
Presentations to schools include

Preventing Shaken Infant Syndrome (appropriate for middle/high school students and parents)
Child Abuse Prevention 101 (appropriate for grade school, middle/high school students and parents)
Silent Victim - Loud Cry! Child Abuse & Domestic Violence - The Connection (appropriate for middle/high school students, parent groups, civic/professional groups and school professionals)
Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children Training - Learn how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse (appropriate for parent groups, civic/professional groups and school professionals)
